cdpedia full screen question

Post by voodoosama »

so everywhere i look in regards to full screen it only mentions dvdpedia. even the help within cdpedia and the video on the website for the cdpedia features are represented by dvdpedia instead. i just bought cdpedia and i'm wondering if there is a way to actually use it as a player, as the videos and whatnot suggest you can do (at least for video files). i've imported my playlist from itunes and everything, but the play button in full screen seems to be nonfunctional. is this something still in the works, or have i not properly 'connected' the media? i can't see a way to do that anywhere.

thanks for any help.
best,

Sorry for the 'one-sided' representation of the Full Screen View with DVDpedia. Most users don't connect movies to their CDs or books so we usually use DVDpedia as an example but the functionality is the same across the programs. If you connect a movie file (.avi, .move, etc.) to an entry, you can then play that via the Full Screen view menu by clicking on the little triangle button.

If you're looking to play a song (via iTunes) then you can do this by opening the Edit window > Tracks tab, selecting the song and pressing the Play button in the window.

But thanks for the suggestion, we'll take a look at having CDpedia play the connected album if there is no movie connected. That could definitely be interesting.

thanks for the quick response. this definitely helped. i was for some reason under the impression that it could play audio from the full screen window, not just movies. if you eventually supported album/track play from full screen mode, this would be the ultimate audio player, in addition to just a database.
