Scanning using iSight in Beta

Post by harald »

Hi,

strange encounter:

when scanning the German "L.A. Confidential"-DVD barcode in Beta 48 the result is 0391921149139,

doing the scan in version 4.6.3 of DVDpedia the result is 7321921149139. This is also the number which is printed below the barcode on the cover. Tried it several times, always the same different results. Is this a bug in the beta version?

I am using the build-in isight from a 15" 2010 MacBook Pro with OSX 10.6.5.

Kind regards,
Harald

Hi Harald,

Thank you for the bug report, we were testing out giving a little more weight to Zbar an open source 3rd party scanner over our home built version. Please try out the new DVDpedia beta 49and let us know if the wrong barcode is still a problem.
