DVDpedia - Sadly need help loading library

I have all my movies backed up on 4TB. Can't figure out how to load them into DVDpedia. Can't find a good wiki to walk me through. I use YAMJ (code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/) (Free) which pulls all the covers/IMDB info automatically for my popcorn hour player. Hoping DVDpedia is that easy, but so far it seems no. So far it hasn't been pulling correct info. I might have to go through and delete all the dates in the file name. YAMJ pulls everything perfect as is. Please help walk me through - wanting to uninstall this app.

By dropping a folder on DVDpedia dock icon DVDpedia will go through and find all the movie files and create entries for them in DVDpedia. At the moment it will not automatically query the net for more information, but you can select all the new entries and use the "get advance info" command under advance to do that. We are working on improving the file importer to be able to detect more metadata that might be stored with the movie in .nfo file for example or other computer readable format. If all you have is the filename then that will be put into the title, since the title is used for the search you have to do a little clean up, as dates and other information there will confuse the search.

Since we are working on improving the file locator, do send us some samples of how you name your files as well as any metadata that you might keep with them (.nfo) files and their layout.
