How do I add fields to the local search Filter Table

Post by Kernos »

The fields in the the local "Filter Table" search in the toolbar are limited to a few fields. How do I add fields, including custom fields to this toolbar search?

This becomes important to me as I have up to 10,000 entries some of the pedias.

TIA,

BIll

The search limits in the internal filter are hard coded to the most common options. To make it flexible use the "Columns Shown" option and add the fields including the custom fields you want searched to the displayed columns in the table. The "All Fields" options should also be okay even with 10,000 entries. The real penalty comes from searching credits, as these are kept in a separate table and not loaded unless needed and this is the reason they are a separate search filter category.

Thanks Conor,

I had totally overlooked the column shown option. I could even make up a Collection for just fields I wanted to search. All fields often works, but often also gives too many results.

BTW, I am very happy the DBS responds so quickly even with this many entries (and growing) and pictures. Good job!

Thanks again,

Bill
