Hi
it looks like cameras ARE a problem after skimming through other posts.
Is this also the case for 10.4.11 Mac OS X?
Scanning is a 'unique' feature of a library software. While waiting for a solution should I buy an external webcam replacing the built-in camera of my MAC?
How can I scan instead?
Thanks for ideas
Robert
iMAC built in camera does not work out
Re: iMAC built in camera does not work out
Hi Robert,
The scanning is different in Tiger than Leopard (we use a newer QuickTime) so it could be that upgrading OS X would help. If scanning is your main concern I would not recommend an external camera for that but an actual barcode scanner. There is quite a range of them, from the expensive wireless bluetooth option to the the $10 dollar cue cat on eBay.
