I bought I new iMac (10.5.4) and when I transferred files from my old iMac my Bookpedia 2.3 no longer works. I downloaded the shareware file from the Apple web site and it appears I have no choice but to update my collection information, message reads: "The database needs to be upgraded to work with this version. A backup copy of the folder will be created called Previous 2.0 Bookpedia. This is a paid upgrade. If you decide not to purchase the upgrade and would like to downgrade to 2.3, you will need this previous data folder." I click on the upgrade button and nothing much happens. I have an "Updating Collection Information" bar on my screen, but even after hours it's not moving. I tried getting rid of my version 2.3, but that hasn't worked. I don't mind starting from scratch.
Appreciate a little help with this.
Thanks,
Karen

Re: Bookpedia: Trouble updating collection
Could you send us your data file for Bookpedia so we can take a look at what's happening? You'll find the file, called info.xml, in your Home folder under ~/Library/Application Support/Bookpedia/info.xml. Please archive the file before sending it to ensure that it doesn't get corrupted by the mail process. (Select it and choose 'Compress' from the File menu. That'll create a new file called 'info.xml.zip' which you can then attach to the email.) Thanks! You'll find our email address on the support page.
