Hi,
I didn't want to put this under "bugs" because I'm not sure it is, but... how does DVDPedia come up with the movie/disc count that's displayed at the bottom of the window? I noticed the other day that a lot of my entries had nothing in the "# of discs" field, and assumed this would make the count at the bottom of the page incorrect. However, when I activated that field to view it in the sheet view and began adding numbers, none of the totals at the bottom changed, even after closing and reopening the program. For example, it says "2982 movies" at the bottom. After adding the number "1" to the "# of discs" field, shouldn't that increase by 1?
DVDPedia - movie and disc count... where's this data from?
Re: DVDPedia - movie and disc count... where's this data from?
The 'DVDs' and 'Discss count is separate, so you can have 2982 DVDs but if some of your movies have more than one disc, that would be reflected in the 'Discs' statistic. The discs count will only increase if a movie has more than one disc but the DVD count is always just the actual number of movies that you have in your database, regardless of how many discs each DVD has. (If the '# of discs' field doesn't have any information entered, the program automatically assumes that the disc count is one because each DVD has to have at least one disc. That's why entering '1' into the field didn't change the DVD or Disc count at the bottom.)
