When I edit html template it gets corrupted.

Post by the örjan »

I dont understand.
First of all, I think it's incredibly stupid that all the CD templates are sorting albums after title instead of artist!
Can you show me one person who doesn't have all albums by the same artist togeather in the shelve at home?!!
This is amazing to me that no template has this!
Who makes these templates? It can't be record collectors, that's for sure.

So, naturally I tried to switch the key:artist with the key:title and thought that would be enough. But then the page gets totally screwed up.
All the colours are gone and it just displays the code.

Please help me or just give me a template that sorts albums by artist.
And how do I get the program itself to sort by artist?

Switching the keys title and artist in the templates will switch the location of that information. You mistyped something for the template not to display correctly; I have made the change to the collection style for you and called it collection flipped, click here to install.

To sort the table view by artist, click on the artist column header.

Hello.
I am sorry, but I had totally missed that the sorting order in the info view was exported into the template as well!
So, now I don't really have to change the template because the sorting does not depend on it.
Maybe you could be more clear about that in your Help section?

I have another question though.
How do I add my own search sites in CDpedia?

Thanx a lot for the help.

Integrating your own search sites requires programming knowledge. We hope to make it easier in the future, but we haven't figured out a way to simplify it yet, because parsing information from diverse formats is such a complex issue for a computer.

I see.
May I suggest that you add http://www.cdon.com for us Nordic users.
It's big in Scandinavia.

Thank you for the information, will put it on our list of possible plug-in sites to extend the programs to.

Amazingly enough, Discshop.se was listed in DVDPedia!

That's not the problem. The file gets corrupted as soon as I press the "edit" button. I don't have to change a thing!
The "My'template'" file just displays the code.

Could you please email us the template file in question as well as some screenshots, so that we might better understand the bug and be able to fix it.
