Barcodescanner Symbol CS1504

Post by Dimo »

Hi all,

I'm very new to xPedia and this forum so I hope this question was not posted yet (yes, I tried the search before ;-)

Has anyone experience with the bar code scanner Symbol CS-1504?
Does it work with the Mac?

Thanxx... Dimo

Pretty much any USB scanner that will send its input like a keyboard does will work with the Pedias. I haven't used the CS-1504 or heard from other users trying it but from their site it looks like it should work.

This would be great! This device is not cheap (about 100 Euros) but it can store 150-200 barcodes; so I can scan where the media is an not take the media to where the computer is :-)

Did anyone tried this scanner yet?

Baracoda BL1000 Bluetooth Scanner

Post by Dimo »

Wow! I found something even better! The ultimate scanning device :)

Only a bit larger than the CS1504 but uses standard batteries, and, best of all, it has bluetooth, can store 500 barcodes if out of range and it works with ReaderWare, so it should also work with the xPedia products I think :D :?:
It seems identical to the "LaserChamp" or "Flic" described at http://www.readerware.com/rwflic.html

If anyone is here from Germany and is fast enough: Here are two eBay links:

Have fun and good luck... Dimo

I know that with the Flic bluetooth scanner you need to use additional software to go between the Pedias and the scanner, such as Serialio's SerialMagic. So that might be required with this scanner too, just to keep in mind...
