Extend DVDpedia

I've got a suggestion to make DVDpedia more usable to users that have their legally purchased DVDs backed up in the form of Divx,Mpeg,Mov and etc. Is there a way to maybe make DVDpedia more of a media catalog rather then DVD catalog only? I mean a program that would have functions of CD/DVD indexer (i.e. CDFinder) that would search content of burned DVD with backed up movies, index locations on hard drive or name of CD/DVD, index codec/duration/bitrait and then automatically search plugin sites giving the option to add titles/actors/covers and etc to DVDpedia main DB. Then show disks with their content in the left pane under home movies or backed up media category where it currently shows main library. Maybe it calls for a completely new product, something like DVDpedia Pro, maybe even at a higher price. I would certainly welcome a product like this, and would buy it right away, even if it will cost me much more then DVDpedia...
