PS2 CueCat and Mac

Any trouble you encounter with the Pedias, here's the place to ask for help.

PS2 CueCat and Mac

Post by tCTexan »

Is it possible to use a PS2 Cue Cat with a PS/2 -> USB adapter and have it work with any of the Pedia programs? I have an unmodified PS/2 Cue Cat laying around that I recently ran across.

Thanks,
Jon

I've never tried (or seen) a PS2 CueCat but the regular CueCats - whether modified or not - work with the Pedia programs.
Since you already have the scanner, the easiest thing would be to try it out. Plug it in, press the plus button in the Pedia toolbar to bring up a search window and scan the UPC of an item. The scanner should send a return which will start the search automatically but if it doesn't, press the Search button to start the search.

No problems using one here. I bought the dual PS2 connector to USB from Radioshack a few days ago and connected it to my PS2 Cuecat and have been scanning ever since with no problems.
