Hi there,
I've been using Dvdpedia for years now and finally thinking about tweaking a bit. Since I have multiple movies on multiple media types I changed several of the adjustable fields into 'dvd', 'blu-ray-ray' and 'uhd'. When I add a title I simply a 'd', 'b' or 'u' in the corresponding field. I noticed there are only two checkboxes that can be altered. Is there a way to create more checkboxes? With checkboxes it looks simply better.

That is correct. There are only two custom 'Check Boxes' fields.
I am curious though why you changed some fields to take into account for the 'Media' type when this is a standard field anyway. And Yes when you start typing in these 'drop down select' fields it will bring up suggestions as you type in the field.
If you want to have separate lists based on 'Media' type you could create a Smart Collection which will appear in the left column with a "Green' folder icon.
File > New Smart Collection > Media > is > **** (enter in media type) Now just name this Smart Collection after the 'Media' type'
