Amazon Associates Program Notice

I got this email today about a new 180 day referral period for the Amazon Associates Program (this is just part of the text of the email:

We are writing to notify you about a change to our policy regarding applicants to the Amazon Associates Program. Effective immediately, applicants have 180 days, starting from when you applied to the program, to refer three or more qualified sales before being reviewed for acceptance to the program.

I only have an Associates account at Amazon so I can do product searches when I add items to my various *Pedia products. Do I have to worry about this account being cancelled in a few months? I'm never going to have an actual referrals, but the Amazon search feature is extremely useful.

If you are not creating enough referrals and are not interested in the links having your own associate tag, you can use the beta method mentioned in this thread to load our keys.
