I would like to see the addition of "Author - Original Language", a field where the Author's name is entered in their original language. Then, make "Author" and this new field relational - when you enter data in one field, the other field is filled with the corresponding data.

Thanks for the suggestion. That would be quite a complex setup but for now you can use one of the custom fields for "Author - Original Language". To change the titles of custom fields go into the Preferences/Fields and double-click the custom field title you want to change.
