importing collection problem

Post by thrashmagazine »

i just backuped my collection from dvdpedia...

its about 96meg the library.dvdpedia file

I then formatted my machine and put snow leopard on it.

reinstalled dvdpedia and tried importing the collection. It says "adding cover art" and seems to find all 2000 or so movies then does nothing... what am i missing and am I screwed?

Could you have a look at your console log, see if there are any messages from DVDpedia? You can access the console log via the application 'Console', located inside your Applications/Utilities. The newer messages are towards the end of the log. Also, could you please send us the .dvdpedia file so we can take a look at that here? Because the file is so large, you'll have to upload it to our server or use a free service like pando.com to send it.

Thanks for the file. The import worked fine here, with all the covers and data. So that is good news - your data is intact. It's strange though that this didn't work for you. Did you check your console log for messages from DVDpedia? You can access the console log via the application 'Console', located inside your Applications/Utilities. The newer messages are towards the end of the log. If there is anything from DVDpedia, please let us know.
