I got a new MacBook Pro (my old one had fluorescent backlighting which was getting too dim to read). I decided to do a clean install of everything as annoying minor problems had been creeping in.
I reinstalled Bookpedia and DVDpedia by installing new programs and copying their folders in Application Support and their plists in prefs to the new Mac.
No my custom field Names are gone. The data in the custom fields are OK, but the fiield title has reverted to Custom field 1 etc.
Have I forgotten to copying something over? Where are these names stored? I would presume in the database file.
TIA,
Bill
Lost Custom Fields NAMES, not data
Re: Lost Custom Fields NAMES, not data
The custom field names are stored in the programs' plist files, found in your Home folder under ~/Library/Preferences/com.bruji.dvdpedia.plist and com.bruji.bookpedia.plist. Make sure you copy those files over while the programs are not running.
Otherwise, you can set the custom field names again in the Preferences/General in DVDpedia and Bookpedia.
