The Add and New feature has stopped working, since I upgraded to version 4.2.0

Not a major problem, but it does slow things down a bit.

So it looks like I have to choose between having a smart collection OR one that is excluded from the library .... hmm, not sure which way will work better for me, so I'll have to play around with it and see.

I am having trouble making existing collections library-independent in DVDpedia.

When I click on File, the choice to Exclude Collection from Library is not available. I can only do this when starting a new collection.

Any suggestions?

Are you sure this is the best way for you to go? Myself, I would put everything in the main library, and use smart collections to separate out the special items. I am doing exactly what the OP says - keeping commercial recordings in one database and home recordings in another. The reason is that I ...

Yes - it all looks fine. I enter ISBNs individually, using CueCat, they all appear in the window, I click Add, the blue bar appears, there are 0 not found, so I click OK and just one title is added. So far, it has always been either the first or last in the list.

I can't add multiple books in version 4.0 - if I enter a list of ten titles, only one is added.

It isn't that they are not found, but they don't show up when I click OK.

Thanks, danco. I tried this but couldn't find my original database .... I must have deleted it somehow. Luckily I only had about 200 books on it so far, I'm not planning to start on the serious catalogue for a couple of weeks, so it's not too much trouble to enter the lost titles again first. Hi. I just upgraded Book/CD/DVD pedias and I'm having a problem with Bookpedia. I can't open my original database, only a brand new empty one .... and I can't add any titles to the new one either. But CD and DVD pedia are both fine! I must be doing something wrong, but I can't see what .... :? jml

Yes, some are harder than others. They shouldn't put barcodes right on the edge of the box IMHO. I just failed completely with one that was on the SPINE of a video case - too curved to scan.
