Hello,
I have been using bookpedia and DVDpedia for almost a year. Since upgrading bookpedia to V5 I cannot add books to my library or wishlist. The previous database is in my dropbox which I share between my two computers. The link still shows in preferences that this is where it is directed since the upgrade to V5. When I try to add a new book by putting the UPC code I get an error message: Could Not Save Changes - The database in memory is not in a valid state and will be reloaded from the hard disk. The program will reload, but it doesn't help. I tried several different books and I get the same message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it hasn't helped. While I liked many of the features in the previous version I don't want to have to downgrade. How can I fix this problem and begin to enter some new books ?
Can't add new books since V5 upgrade
Re: Can't add new books since V5 upgrade
Please send us your Database.pediadata file so we can take a look at your data here. You'll find the file in your Home folder under ~/Library/Application Support/Bookpedia/Database.pediadata. Please archive the file before sending it to save space. (Select it and choose 'Archive' or 'Compress' from the File menu. That'll create a new file called 'Database.pediadata.zip' which you can then attach to the email.) Thanks!

Re: Can't add new books since V5 upgrade
I think I figured out what went wrong. I uninstalled version 5 and went back to the previous version. The first time I updated I did so by using the iMac app store and updating directly from there. So I tried updating again, but this time I updated Bookpedia through the program itself by searching for updates. Now I can add books and they save perfect... happy days again! I do miss the amazon links, but I look forward to future updates! Thanks for the quick response and I hope this may help others!
