True. But the cast list seems a bit strange on IMDb, since there are only actor names... maybe somethings wrong with their data

Searching by director: did that ever work reliably? When I enter "Hitchcock", I get some right and many wrong movies as result.
Searching by the IMDb ID (e.g. tt1198385) works always reliably.

I never tried the director thing before, I just did because the title search wasn't working.
I suspect that the characters in the third movie didn't have names.

if it showed up on the list, I can't find it.

The character after "l" is ’ in your posting (opt-shift-# = ASCII 213 = 0xD5).
But IMDb uses ' (shift-# = ASCII 39 = 0x27).

Accents are tricky, that's why I left away À. But that wouldn't have helped here, l'origine is difficult enough.
And entering only "origine" doesn't work either.

I guess the moral with L'origine was to type instead of the copy/paste I did for greater accuracy...

This is a continuing problem for me -- there are documentaries, obscure arty stuff etc. where no character names are given -- just the cast members. There is no reason it shouldn't work.

It was a small bug that required the "Uncredited credits" preference to be checked. I have updated the DVDpedia beta 33 please download it and the credits will come in for "Fukushu the Revenge Kienai Kizuato".
