borrowing single DVDs from a collection

Is there a way to track just a single DVD from a collection? Today I had two friends come over, each borrowed a movie from the same collection. I guess I could have just imported everything seperately, but I didn't really know it would be a problem and Ive probably got like 10-15 box sets I dont really want to re-import if theres another way. It would be nice to have the box sets function as a group, and you can expand it like a folder or whatever, then manage each dvd individually.
