Publish own books - like social bookmarks

Hello,
a good feature would be the publishing of privately owned books, so others can see what books I own.
With bookmarks there is a similar thing called "social bookmarks", such as http://www.del.cious.com or http://www.mister-wong.de
Is there anything being done on that at the moment?
