No Sync button

Post by chazel »

I have set up a temporary network and the iPhone is connected to my iMac - but I cannot get the Sync button to appear. The programme is registered and it has safely imported all my files from D.Library. Please help - I am an amateur when it comes to networking.

Also make sure your firewall settings under System Preference -->Security -->Firewall --> is allowing all incoming connections. You should then see the sync button under the collections tab in Pocketpedia. If that is not the case, try restarting both DVDpedia and Pocketpedia.

I've done all that several times - without success - should it be this difficult? Some more suggestions please.

The connection from Pocketpedia comes in over the wireless that would be "en1" instead of "en0". So this report is not related. However it does indicate that your firewall is still on and you have not disabled it, as there should be no ipfw log with the firewall off.

Problem is related to 2.0.1 iPhone/iPod update?

I'm having the same problem since I've updated to firmware 2.0.1 today (iPod touch 32Gb). The Sync button no longer appears

I was having the same problem until I looked at my firewall logs. I noticed the incoming connection was coming from IP address 0.0.0.0 and wasn't connecting. I had my Wi-Fi off so I just turned it on and presto...there's the sync button. The firewall now shows a successful connection with a valid IP address. Give this a try and see if it works for you.

I tried to sync again today, and (without modifications) it works again.

Don't know why.. but I'm happy that it works again!
