Failed DVDPedia Move

My main computer experienced a catastrophic crash which took out the
main drive. I've moved the DVDPedia folder to my new computer and
started up the program with the option key held down. So far, so good.
I select the database and - nothing. The program doesn't recognize the
database. Any help would be appreciated as recreating the database
would involve a LOT of work. Thanks.

Do you also have the Covers folder? Place the DVDpedia backup folder in the default location ~/Library/Application Support/DVDpedia and then try double clicking Database.pediadata file to load it. If it still fails please email us that Database.pediadata file, so we can try it out as well.
