Greetings,
I recently (just tonight actually) managed to export my DVDProfiler DB and read it successfully into DVDPedia with all the images thanks to a few articles in the forum. Yay !!!
Now I want to do the same with my OrangeCD DB - anybody had any success in this one ???
Orange CD will export the following:
HTML pages
local FreeDB file format
OrangeCD XML (.oxl)
plain text (.txt, .csv)
I tried exporting to OrangeCD XML - CDPedia didn't recognize the file.
Same problem using local FreeDB files, and HTML pages.
I assume OrangeCD XML is most likely to be successful albeit with some minor editing to the file...
Any thoughts ?
Regards.
Nick Pitfield.
Export from OrangeCD (PC) to CDPedia (Mac) ?
Hi,
We never heard of OrangeCD. But CDpedia has a very robust tab and CSV import. So the plain text export should work well. If you can export a URL of the cover files, CDpedia will import those as well. Being a Windows program the URL might not be something the Mac understands; you might have to do a find and replace with a text editor to change c:\\folder\aCovers.jpg to file:///folder/aCovers.jpg. If the program only exports the cover name you still need to add the path in front so that CDpedia knows where the cover is located.
