Is this a bug or a feature in cover image scaling?
I've noticed that the pedias scale cover images taken from Amazon to fit the full size of the box on the lower left of the application's window, but when you import images directly from your hard disk or copied from a URL they are deliberately shrunk so they don't fit the box.
The scale the images put only up to their full size; they will not scale past that so that they don't become pixelated. What is happening with an image that looks bigger in the browser and then smaller in the Pedias is that they have a large DPI. So the size of the image is what you see, but they could be scaled bigger than their size as their DPI is greater than 72 (amount of pixels per inch on a screen) and there would be no pixelation. The Pedias had a feature to detect this and let the image scale past their size. Could you email me some examples of the covers or URL links so that I can try it with the same images. Thank you.
