Startup requires starting of network drives, how?

Post by JoshFink »

Ok... The title of the post is horrible, I know.. .Couldn't figure out how to title it.

Here is the issue. I have everything set up correctly. I have linked my movies to external files on shared out drives. Now, if I reboot and start DVDPedia the links don't work because the network drives never attach.

Is there any way to get the network drives to attach on boot or on startup of DVDPedia?

Thanks

You would need to write an AppleScript to automate the mounting of external drives. You could then also add the launch of DVDpedia to the AppleScript so that double clicking the script will do everything for you. Or mount the drives when the computer starts up. There is some great information about mounting drives and scripts at http://www.macosxhints.com/.
