Mac reboot caused the Database.dvdpd to be corrupted "The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format" but db is synced to iPhone & iPad.
Started a fresh db, synced to iPhone hoping to repopulate with iPhone data ... wiped out the data on the iPhone. Now I still have the data on iPad. Can I restore ?
(would rather not use the backupMonth.dvdpedia from 25 days ago since much has happened since that backup).

It's possible to import your data from Pocketpedia to DVDpedia but it's not really meant as a 'backup' so it won't be a perfect replica of your database but this is what you have to do:
Run Pocketpedia on your iPad and DVDpedia on your Mac, hold down the Option key and go into the Help menu to reveal a hidden 'Pocketpedia' menu. Then, again with the Option key held down, press the 'Import' button. Now go to Pocketpedia and press the 'Sync' button. The sync will automatically initiate and download into DVDpedia.
Because this is not really a feature, it's not all that perfect. You won't get any images for your entries since they get compressed to a very small size in Pocketpedia (you'll have to either use the 'Download cover art' command found in the contextual menu of the cover image well at the bottom left of the main window or even better, use the little gear button in the edit window to download advanced info and cover image for each entry). Also, if you had excluded collections in Pocketpedia then some entries might appear as duplicates in DVDpedia so you'll have to use the 'Show duplicates' command to weed those out.
Let me know if you have any further questions about the import or run into any trouble.
