Sync Precedence

I entered books on my iPhone, and when I synced to my Mac, the items on the phone disappeared and did not appear on my Mac. Is there a sync precedence, iPhone vs Mac? Thanks.

The sync is done based on individual items. Should there be a conflict the item with the newest modification date wins. In the case of adding brand new items on the iPhone they should appear on your Mac and then get synced over to the iPhone as brand new items. If that is not the case do test it out and let me know the specifics, step by step instructions, so I can try to duplicate it. Could be there is an obscure bug depending on the book, or procedure of how a book is added or collection a book is added to.
