Hi All,
I'm trying to import a fairly large library from Delicious Library to DVDPedia.
So far, it imported mostly everything perfectly, but there is one field I'm missing:
DL has a Played/Read status for the DVDs and the information doesn't carry over through import.
I realize there is no perfect match for the field in DVDPedia, but I would be happy with a bogus date, or the date of the import in the Last Played field in DVDPedia.
Is there any way to get that when I import into DVDPedia? Any suggestion or workaround?
Thanks,
Corentin
Importing Played status from Delicious Library to DVDPedia
Re: Importing Played status from Delicious Library to DVDPed
Thanks for the heads up Corentin, we used to import that field in the old version of DVDpedia but forgot about it when we re-wrote the importer for the new version of DVDpedia. We fixed this in the DVDpedia beta version if you'd like to download that and test it out. Any entry marked as "Played / Read" in DL2 will be marked as "Last Seen > Today" during the import. (If you then want to edit those dates after the import to reflect the actual date when you watched a particular movie you can do that in the Edit window.)

Thanks a million Nora,
I just downloaded the eta and will give it a try as soon as I get a chance (the data is home). Using Played Today should work beautifully for my needs
In a way, I’m glad to know I wasn’t crazy and that the option had existed in previous versions
Thanks again for your help,
Corentin

I remote connected to my Mac at home to play with that and it worked beautifully!Nora wrote:We fixed this in the DVDpedia beta version if you'd like to download that and test it out. Any entry marked as "Played / Read" in DL2 will be marked as "Last Seen > Today" during the import.
I deleted my previous import to replace it with a new import from DL2 and everything worked as expected!
I’m a (very) happy camper
One thing I couldn’t figure out how to do after that though was to create a smart playlist for “not seen” items. I had to create a smart folder and trick it by using “not seen in the last 9999 days” (which should work for the next 27-some years ).
Is there any smarter way to do that?
Thanks again for everything!
Corentin
Re: Importing Played status from Delicious Library to DVDPed
Glad to hear that worked. To set up a smart collection for all those entries you haven't seen yet you could use the setting "Last seen is [blank]".

I don't know why I didn't think about it. Thanks again
