I just upgraded my Bookpedia version after getting a new computer. I have my old hard drive attached to the new iMac and want to import all my old Bookpedia info. All I'm seeing in the Library & Application Support folders for Bookpedia are all the bookcovers and an XML file. When I import those, nothing happens. Is there a collection file I'm missing somewhere? Where is the default save location for the collection info?
Thanks for the help!
Kristy
PS. I also have a second question: does the latest version of Bookpedia not have an option for adding a comment or review area for each book like my old version did?! I can't find a place to add that. Previously, I'd had all my book reviews saved within each entry!

Re: Bookpedia Upgrade: Importing files
To move the database on to the new computer, copy the entire data folder from your old hard drive. The folder named "Bookpedia" in ~/Library/Application Support and place it in the same location on the new computer (this is the default location). Do this without Bookpedia running. When you launch the new Bookpedia it will see the old XML file and upgrade the database to a new SQL file named "Database.pediadata".
The new Bookpedia still has the comments field but empty fields are not displayed by default. To display empty fields click on the "Show All" button on the bottom left of the edit window (command-d shortcut).
