Export collection as text file with .avi extension?

Post by speters »

I was wondering if there is anyway to export my dvdpedia collection as series of empty text files that would use the name of the movie as the name of the text file. Then change the .txt extension to something like .avi? The reason I want to do this, is that I am going to be using xmbc, on one of my computers, for playback of my media, and I have some media that is offline that I have already put into dvdpedia. Now I need to get those into xmbc.

Thank,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Take a look at this post, it contains a text template that you put in ~/Library/Application Support/DVDpedia/Templates and then it will be available for use as an export option under "Export-->Text-->Template". With the beta version the files can be named after the title of the movie.
