Hi.
I've been trying this awesome program (Gamepedia) out for a few days now and love it so far.
I have, however, a few questions i hope someone can help me solve.
First of all, i've noticed there is a "Manual" column which is great since i keep a collection for my old retro games.
It is a check box, so thats just what i need. But i need a column with "Case" as well, since i have some games without cases.
I then played with Custom fields, but can't seem to understand how it works.
How do i add a check box to a custom field, like "Manual" have?
The second question is related. How do i make a the "Location" field have a dropdown menu or something like "Room1" "Room2" etc.
Hope you know what i mean,
Cheers.
Custom field question (location and cases)
Re: Custom field question (location and cases)
The custom fields are all text fields at the moment, they can't be turned into check boxes unfortunately. But it's something we have on our feature request list already, to offer different types of custom fields.
In the meantime, you could use one of the regular custom fields, name it 'Case' (in the Preferences/General) and then put 'yes' or 'no' into the field depending on the game. That way you have the information and could even build smart collections based on it.
As for the autofill information for the 'Location' field, to add to the drop down menu (the autofill) you can either just start typing in the field and the different values will automatically be added to the autofill list for 'Location' or you can go directly into the Preferences/Autofill, choose 'Location' and enter the list of location values you'll be using into the table. Either way the information will be saved so that in the future you simply have to start typing something and Gamepedia will autofill the rest for you.
