Poketpedia update erased all my data
I updated the new Pocketpedia from my iPhone and it erased all it's data. I tried recovering once I got home, but it's gone Any help here or did I just lose hours of entries and have to manually put it in again? Help and thanks.
Re: Poketpedia update erased all my data
Please let us know as much detail as possible, if the bug was not fixed in iPhone OS 2.1 we need to report it to Apple. Is it an iPhone or an iPod? Did you upgrade using iPhone App Store or iTunes? Are you using the latest iPhone OS 2.1 version?
The restore of the most recent iTunes backup should have contained your data. Did you cancel the sync when connecting the iPhone to iTunes so that a new backup does not replace your older backup?
There is a program called mdhelper by Erica Sadun that will pull out files from iTunes backups, it runs only on Mac OS X. You would place it on your Mac desktop and run the following command in Terminal.
However if you have already restored from a backup and that failed then the file you pull from the backup will be the same one. If you do decide to try the file, it should be larger than 8k, otherwise it's the default blank file. If the file is larger, email it to us after you have pulled it out of the backup.
