Issues with Pocketpedia update

I just updated Pocketpedia on my iPod Touch and am having several issues.

Within Pocketpedia, I now have my Bookpedia & DVDpedia collections, but no sign of Pocketpedia itself to create collections within it.

There doesn't seem to be a way to resort my BP or DVDP collections on the Touch itself.

I also referenced your Pocketpedia Manual and I'm not seeing the "Action" button that is supposed to be at the top of each of my collections. I'm understanding that it should allow me to resort, but since the action button is MIA, I can't do that.

When I originally synced my Touch after updating/downloading Pocketpedia in iTunes, it said that it couldn't sync Pocketpedia because of some error. I unplugged my Touch and plugged it back in to resync. It appeared to then sync correctly.

I am getting some of the features of the update--shaking to choose random item, sorts retain the order of the desktop apps, large cover art, etc.

Any ideas or advice?

I did recover the Pocketpedia Collection by adding an item through Google Search. I guess it's possible that I didn't have any Pocketpedia Collection items added before and that's why it didn't show up after updating. However, it always showed up before. Is it possible that I may have lost items that may have been added prior?

By the way, the action button DOES appear for that collection. However, it still does not appear in any Bookpedia or DVDpedia collections. Shouldn't it?

If you have no Pocketpedia items then the collection does not appear. As you found out, once you have synched one of the programs you have to first enter an item to be able to add a collection and then Pocketpedia will appear. The sorting is now carried over from the Pedias for the synced collections and it's only the Pocketpedia collection that has the action button on the top right of the Collection screen, that allows sorting on the device. The update will not delete Pocketpedia items and leave the synched collections. There is a rare bug in the iPhone OS that could delete a program's information when performing an update, in those cases you can restore that information by ctrl-clicking on your iPhone in iTunes and selecting the "Restore from Backup" option.

So there's no option to sort the Book/DVD pedias on the phone/Touch itself? It's great that sorting carries over, and I guess I can create special collections with the sorting that I would want to have handy. I was just hoping that I could sort "on the fly" if needed.

So where does the "move" command come in that I heard about? Will it only be available to move items within collections of PocketPedia?

We did not want to allow the sorting in a synced collections since Pocketpedia has a limited ability to sort by compared to the big brother apps. For example we didn't want a user to sort by author last name and then not be able to return to a genre sort. We might include it in a future release at the more options to the user the better. Entries in Pocketpedia have an action button in the details header (right under the title) that will allow you to move, borrow, copy or delete an entry.
