Re: Bookpedia BibTex Export corrupted?
I suggest making a two-step procedure so you can edit it in Excel or some other app My solution was to open a copy of the Database.bookpd file in DB Browser for SQLite 2 and run the following queries to remove all $ from the price related fields. UPDATE ZENTRY SET ZPRICE = replace(ZPRICE, '$', '') ...

Re: Should the Pedia's move to a Different Financial Model
I will not continue if it moves to subscription model. I am willing to pay for major new releases if the features are important to me. I actually prefer a crowd funded option. I tried to vote but could not. I'm concerned about bug fixes that have been reported for along time. I'd like to see progres...

Re: Bookpedia BibTex Export corrupted?
Another couple of months. Still the same bug. I have reported the bug and have details on how to recreate it but it's been over a year now and no useful responses.
Any help from anyone?

Re: Bookpedia BibTex Export corrupted?
I have done that, got no answer. I again hit it and have re-sent the bug report with another example. The error happens on import into Zotero and the Zotero folks say that Bookpedia is not properly formatting the $ character to standards and that's why it's giving an error on input.

Re: Bookpedia BibTex Export corrupted?
Can someone else please test the export and see if they are seeing the same issue?
I'd really like to find out what I can do in this case.

Re: Bookpedia BibTex Export corrupted?
I can now verify that any book that has a price in the price column will not export correctly.
Any deas on when it might owork?
Deleting all the prices is significant, sicne I have over 3K books and about half have prices listed.

Bookpedia BibTex Export corrupted?
I'm trying to export a collection as a BibTeX file for importing into Zotero and then eventually linked into my Obsidian vault with notes on each book and highlights if they are kindle books. I did a small subset of books as a smart collection in Bookpedia to verify the procedure. Unfortunately this...

Re: Markdown in Bookpedia?
Ressurecting an old thread to ask about something similar. I've moved most of my notes, general info, kanban boards etc into Obsidian, which is a markdown based note and knowledge management system. I've started to use the Obsidian Kindle Plug-in to extract out lots of data including bibliographic d...

Re: Borrowing Questions
So what is happening here is that Bookpedia is automatically grabbing everyone listed in your macOS Contacts (Address Book). You will have to clean up your macOS Contacts from within that App. There is no way to edit those Contacts from within Bookpedia and so there shouldn't be either. If I'm unde...

Re: Borrowing Questions
A You should be able to "Return" those books. 1 - click on the 'Borrowed' collection in the Source column on the left. This will bring up a list of all the books that are currently borrowed. There are no books that are borrowed. So I can't return them because the list is empty. The Borrow...

Re: Borrowing Questions
I had read that already. It doesn't really address my question. I am not Loaning out books to someone else in my contacts list with a borrowed on and due back date. I am Borrowing Books from Amazon for me to read. Totally different scenario and the Borrow tools are all focused on documenting your bo...

Nothing from anyone about this bug or any reason why it's considered a feature and not a bug?
