This appears to be fixed with the recent 10.13.4 update to macOS!

As someone who uses the Cmd-I command often in iTunes, I found it annoying that when I wanted to edit something in CDpedia, the details window would close with the command I was so used to using. I changed the Edit command to Cmd-I, and Details to Cmd-E.
