UPC-A codes, used on books and DVDs, consist of 12 numerical digits. It there for should be easy to parse a UPC code like 727994752974 to display as 7 27994 75297 4 to match the appearance of UPC code on the book/DVD.

Formatting UPC and ISBN Fields

Provide an option to display UPCs entered as 727994752974 to display as 7 27994 75297 4. This matches the appearance of UPC codes on the product.

Provide an option to display ISBNs entered as 9781426295836 to display as 978-1-4262-9583-6. This matches the appearance of ISBNs on the product.
