Re: Pocketpedia Sync'ing

Try toggling "local network" on/off, then quitting/relaunching PocketPedia on mobile device and the Mac Pedia app.

Also make sure Mac and mobile device are on the same wifi network

Can Someone Explain Amazon Status?

Shouldn't there be some prominent, authoritative statement re: the state of the Pedia/Amazon connection? I've read through everything, and nobody's flat-out stated it. My vibe is that there's no connection at all. Is that right? Or is there limited functionality and/or workarounds? I understand Cono...

Editing Template

I have added a custom column, titled "Blu Ray?", and I mark in an asterisk for blu-ray titles. I want this data included in exports. I use "MyKuzDVD" template. I changed the code in the template, per below, and while it does output "Blu Ray or DVD:" in the export, it do...

Sorting Titles Starting with "The"

In many years of Pedia use, I've never before noticed hiccups in how the apps sort titles beginning with "The". But I just added a bunch of books, and some are correctly sorted on the next word, and some are not. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Re: PocketPedia Synch to DropBox

Can't you do this via their web site in mobile browser?

Re: PocketPedia Synch to DropBox

While you're at it, titles (at least) should be copy-able in PocketPedia.

I was just searching for a bunch of my "wishlist" dvds within my Netflix app on ipad, and I had to type in titles manually because I couldn't copy them out of Pocketpedia.

PocketPedia Synch to DropBox

It would be great if Pocketpedia could synch via DropBox (if the pedia db/s are stored in DropBox, that is).

Re: Upgrading from v4: Is Doghouse Ready for Primetime?

I upgraded to v5, followed Bruji's instructions for getting my Amazon keys (a bit complicated, but that's not their fault), and everything's working great.

Looking forward to v6!

Upgrading from v4: Is Doghouse Ready for Primetime?

Big fan and longtime user of all Pedia apps. I'd love to give Bruji my support via paid upgrade to v5, but every time I've tried a demo, I find that Doghouse info isn't as complete or reliable as the Amazon info I'm using very happily in v4. Haven't tried in a while, though. Has it gotten better? Ar...

Re: Big Scanning Job

Thanks very much for the reply, Nora. A lot of your support materials still mention using tools like CueCat for this sort of undertaking. It only just occurred to me to use my iPhone! And, come to think of it, if you're still considering relaunching an iphone app, you might consider incorporating UP...

Big Scanning Job

I'm finally going to scan ALL my books into BookPedia. My plan is to use CLZ Barry to scan UPC codes into my iphone, then email them to my desktop Mac to batch enter into BookPedia. But I need a swift, efficient approach for older books lacking UPC codes. I don't want to laboriously look them up as ...
