Status of standard fields in Bookpedia
Hi, everyone, I've got a basic question about fields, especially the Tags field. Is this something that might be automatically populated when I scan a book in? If so, I want to avoid using it for my own tags, and use a custom field like MyTags or something like that. If not, I guess it's the perfect...

Re: Scanning & Importing State of the Art
Thanks for the links, Nora. The explanations were all pretty clear, except for this: Unless you are a registered on Amazon Things seemed to go OK, but after entering all 3 bits of info I got the message: Your AccessKey Id is not registered for Product Advertising API… Your pages make it clear that w...

Re: Scanning & Importing State of the Art
For the automatic import - make sure you bring over Delicious Library 2 (the application) as well as the whole Delicious Library 2 data folder over to your computer before doing the import. Bookpedia needs the application as well as the data file for the import to work. Thanks, Nora, that was the m...

Scanning & Importing State of the Art
Over the last couple of years, I've missed most of the developments in Bookpedia and Delicious Library through general busy-ness, and my library is wildly out of date. I soon found that there isn't really anything to report in Delicious Library, but Bookpedia is another matter. My old workflow was t...

Bookpedia: garbled Japanese text
I used the text template Small List to export a selection of books from Bookpedia, and many of the details (most downloaded from Amazon Japan) came out garbled. (I've pasted a selection below.) Is there a way to avoid this? Abstracts and the Writing of Abstracts by John M. Swales, Christine B. Feak ...

Autopilot mode in Bookpedia
I would love to be able to switch to coverflow mode in fullscreen view and have Bookpedia scroll through the current collection (optionally looping back round when it reaches the end) without any manual intervention. Is there any chance of this feature coming soon?

Re: Importing collection from LibraryThing to Bookpedia
I'm late to the party here, but I thought it might be useful to point to a thread from 2006 that addresses this same issue: http://www.bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=874&p=2897 Don't be misled by the title: it starts off as a discussion on whether to switch from Delicious Library to Boo...

Re: OpenMeta
I might be good to make sure the OpenMeta people know how you feel, so that the impression doesn't get around that this is just Michael Tsai being unreasonable. I'm sure that if it turns that this is how the majority of developers feel something can be done to deal with the issues.

Re: Show your Pedia webpage
Yours looks great. But it occurs to me that "Extras - The Complete" probably isn't the text that you would choose if you could choose arbitrary text to put under each DVD. Is there any easy way that we can customize what appears on our catalogue web pages (e.g. "Extras Complete" ...
