If you are moving to a new computer, just copy over the entire Bookpedia data folder (by default found in User/Library/Application Support) and put it into the exact same location on your new computer. Make sure that neither version of Bookpedia is running at the time of the move. Now when you start...

If you are downloading the information from Amazon then you will automatically get the cover image along with the other info. But if you'd rather scan in your own cover image, just select the entries and choose 'Remove cover image' from the Advanced menu.

They probably changed something on their website again - I think they have an army of webdesigners working on that site at all times... We'll try and fix that as soon as possible. Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for the site - I'll look into it. (If that means becoming your hero, how can I refuse? ;))

Hi Gabriel, The value statistic at the bottom of the CDpedia window adds up whatever information is entered in the 'List Price' field. Amazon US should download the list price along with the other information. If it doesn't for you, send me a few titles that you searched for so I can try to recreate...

You can use any pretty much any firewire camera or USB scanner to scan barcodes into the Pedias. A bluetooth reader will most likely need additional software that converts the scanned information into a keyboard input. I believe most bluetooth readers will come with software like that but I know tha...

If the person you're emailing the info to uses Bookpedia you could also send them a bcard. Just drag the entry from Bookpedia to your desktop to create the bcard and then attach it to your email. (If the receiver doesn't have Bookpedia, the demo version will suffice too.)

Have you tried different ways of searching? For the ibs.it plug-in, you can do keyword and ISBN searches and you can also drag the URL from Safari straight into the Bookpedia table view to start a search. With the bol.it plug-in you can only do keyword searches at the moment. But we're working on ge...

We'll take a look at it. Our plug-ins request list is pretty long already but we're working on making it easier for users with little programming experience to write plug-ins themselves so hopefully we'll get more people into writing plug-ins in the future. I've noted the site in any case, thanks fo...

At the moment we're getting the review that is voted 'most helpful' from Amazon unless they sent the official review. However, many times Amazon doesn't send the official review because of copyright issues. We'll see if there's a way to improve this though.

The problem is not that we don't want to add laserdisc information to DVDpedia (they're already included in the 'Media' drop down menu) but finding an online database for laserdiscs will be tricky. If you come across one, let us know and we can try to write a plug-in for it.

The linking feature can sound a bit confusing. (We actually just updated the Help file on that to make it a bit easier to follow.) But maybe this example will help: Let's say you have Movie A and Movie B and you want to link them together. If you only want to link Movie A to Movie B but not the othe...

Gamepedia in Dutch

Hello everyone, Gamepedia user Patrick Vijgeboom translated the program into Dutch and he would like some feedback from other (obvisouly Dutch or Dutch-speaking) users. You can download the Dutch version here . (It's a .zip file, not the usual .dmg because it's just the Dutch, not the regular Gamepe...
