Hi Conor, Many thanks for your help. I re installed 4.6.0....but it still doesn't bring back any results unfortunately. Re: Recognition of the barcode completely ineffective v4.6.0

Hi Conor,

Many thanks for that Beta version.
In fact that version works but is way slower than 4.6.0. which was so quick to scan. I tried that beta version with several books and it takes aprox 15 sec for it to scan anything.

If you want me to run other tests, feel free to ask ;-)

Have a nice day

Re: Recognition of the barcode ineffective with v4.6.0

Hi Conor, I did a second try scanning with 4.6.2 with the same book and again the rectangle turns green but nothing happens. Reinstalling the previous version allows the webcam to scan the same book without any issue...so I will keep 4.6.0. I'll see if next version fixes that issue. In fact I have g...

Re: Recognition of the barcode completely ineffective v4.6.0

HI Axel, Thank you for the information. Could you please download the beta and test it. Also in your console log the beta will report information on how the "Logitech® QuickCam® Vision Pro for Mac®" appears to the Pedias, a device number a...

Re: Recognition of the barcode completely ineffective v4.6.0

Hi Nora, I am in the same case...my pedia worked fine until I installed the 4.6.0, the Betas 26 and 27 did not work neither. Here is my set up: Powerbook G4 1.67 Ghz (yes I know it's old, but still works perfect;-) OSX 10.4.11 Logitech® QuickCam® Vision Pro for Mac® Issues are: cam does not focus on...

Re: Pocketpedia2 missing content

ok thanks for the explanation Alex... But I must say that pocketpedia2 is really useless then.... I'll delete it and keep version one...and downgrade my pedia to the previous version...That is really a shame EDIT: I must say that thanks to pocketpedia I don't buy anymore duplicates....so I am still ...

Re: Pocketpedia2 missing content

Dear all, I was really happy with Pocketpedia and I've got an issue with version 2.... With version 1, I had Amazon info on the first tab: http://www.appstoreapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/pocketpedia-review.png and my own text in the second tab: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3136/2891304491_8...

Re: Other camera support?

Hi everybody,

I am not sure if that is the correct place to post that, but I just received a Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac, and it works like a charm on bookpedia!

Just for those like me still with a PPC mac in a need for a cam to use with the pedias...

Have fun

Re: Sorting DVDpedia

How to fix this issue, by Conor: If you hold down the option key while clicking on a column it sorts them by last name. This is useful for columns like author and editor, obviously a bit confusing on series. We make no attempt to block the option sorting from any of the columns but title, but maybe ...

Re: Sorting DVDpedia

Finally I thought that if you don't have a problem with my database the issue could be in one of the pref files in the mac...So I decided to delete the pedia completely, trashing the pref files as well, and after reinstalling the issue was gone...I should have done that from scratch.

Thanks

Re: Sorting DVDpedia

Hi, I've got a very bothering issue for a few weeks now and I really can't figure out how to fix it...I think it happened when upgrading to the new version of the pedias but it might be a coincidence. My items can't be sorted by Series anymore...all the items within a same serie are listed correctly...
