Re: escaping special characters during export?
Hi Conor, thanks, that's a viable alternative. I have also been thinking of querying the DB from an external application and then doing my own export. Is this a dumb idea? According to the documentation at sqlite.org multiple applications can query the same DB at the same time, so I guess I wouldn't...

Re: MobileMe woes
Exporting a gallery from iPhoto worked, it created the /Web/Sites hierarchy. Didn't try iWeb... Now DVDpedia's export to MobileMe works as well, thanks. Suggestion: It seems DVDpedia needs to check if /Web/Sites doesn't exist yet and create it if that is the case prior to uploading the HTML export. ...

Re: MobileMe woes
There is no /Web folder. The top level folders are Backup, Documents, Library, Movies, Music, Pictures, Public, Sites, and Software. The console log does not show any dvdpedia related output. I tried creating the /Web folder manually. iDisk doesn't let me do this, I can create a folder and name it a...

MobileMe woes
Hi, A few weeks ago I signed up for a MobileMe account. It works nice for syncing data between my Mac and iPhone, but I can't get DVDpedia to properly upload my DVD collection to it. It creates a preview and then uploads all the data without showing any error. When it's done I click on the "Vie...

"ignore foreign articles" option misbehaves
Hi, I'm using the "ignore foreign articles during title sort" option. It doesn't work well when there are foreign articles that conflict with english words, e.g. the german article "die" (article for feminine nouns) causes the "Die Hard" movies to be sorted on "h&q...

enhancing the data acquisition
Hello, I just bought DVDPedia and am very happy with its ease of use. Finally getting an overview of my collection again :) I just wish it would support more sites to search for DVD details, out of 153 DVDs it recognised 61 correctly, 46 with minor errors, and 46 not at all. Those last 46 were mostl...
