Re: Working with html templates and Dreamweaver
Wow!! I can/will change this, but presently I have this structure: Movies metal documentaries index.html images five_star_films index.html images [etc.] horror proList documentaries five_star_films horror If I put the master images folder at the level of metal and proList can I just change the templ...

Re: Ridiculously Hard Feature Requests
Another useful trick is that any drag and drop from Safari to our programs will look up the entry for you. So you can drag Amazon covers from your wish list over to the program or from IMDbs "My Movies". I drag IMDB links from all over the place using Camino. This is the best tip ever! (a...

Re: Working with html templates and Dreamweaver
I was assuming that you upload most of your DVDs to the your web page. Keeping the support folder "Covers" folder synchronized means that all the covers for your movies are on the server and you only need to worry about the HTML files. If you add new movies the covers will then be uploade...

Re: Working with html templates and Dreamweaver
In that setup don't use the images exported by DVDpedia; as you mentioned they were recently created and have a different date. Have your FTP program upload the images from the "Covers" folder in your data folder ~/Library/Application Support/DVDpedia were the modification date has not ch...

Re: Working with html templates and Dreamweaver
Here is the setup that I would use: 1. Separate the development of the template into its own site. You can then name the images folder "Images" and Dreamweaver should be able to follow the links, including those to your CSS and JavaScript. 2. Once you are done with development you copy th...

Re: Cover view sameness
I don't think I understand what you just said. Probably doesn't matter. Emailing a screenshot.
[UPDATE]
I just noticed that it seems you are taking care of this while in full screen cover view. The widths (horizontal sameness, if you will) appear to be the same.

Re: Cover view sameness
I'll have to investigate further because I think I may be influencing the outcome by having already resized or clipped my posters. btw - I use posters almost exclusively, not dvd covers from amazon. What I'm seeing is almost the same thing I had when trying to do this manually: The Vertical size sho...

Cover view sameness
I think I've been hinting at this for a while with the iPhoto integration and such. I've spent (wasted?) a lot of time making a bunch of cover art the same ratio so that it looks gorgeous in cover view ... most of the time. I can't figure it out, but sometimes it just doesn't. There will be an oddba...

Stop Smart copy/paste in links TAB
Silly, I know ... but I cut/paste the domain name a lot from the link address field to paste it into the Name field, and with smart copy/paste going on it always adds a space: http://www.domain.com becomes www. domain.com and the the link doesn't work unless I fix it up. just askin' ;) cause it does...

Working with html templates and Dreamweaver
I can't seem to make this work because of, I think, the way something tricky under the hood uses the directory Images/myNamedTemplateImages/ without mentioning it. If I tell DW that my images are in Images/myNamedTemplateImages/ , it will update the code to Images/myNamedTemplateImages/ and then the...

Re: Contextual Menu Control
I can't get my iTunes to do that. Yeah , well ... cause it was only in my dreams. It's going to bug me until I can figure out what prompted me to think that. I have small font menus in my head somewhere ... the links open inline and you have arrow buttons to browse through them. Hence the pl...

... textedit wouldn't allow me to save without changing to rtfd format Yeah, I don't get TextEdit, never been able to figure out that demand or why it opens html docs WYSIWYGaly. I use Tex-Edit Plus http://www.tex-edit.com/ for text issues, lots of nice tools for cleaning up text. (though i use Dre...
