Re: Unable to export in Snow Leopard (DVD/Book)
I did a couple of things so I have no idea which one or even if all worked. I had checked permissions on the destination folder but didn't check the permissions on the folder within the folder where I found my username had been replaced with "_unknown/read&write" so I created a new Bac...

Re: Unable to export in Snow Leopard (DVD/Book)
Still having problems but I think it could be related to the way SL changed Finder. When DVDpedia archives (zips) the entire folder found in ~/Library/Application Support, does it hand off any of the processing to Finder? Could this problem with Archiving/Backing Up be related to com.apple quarantin...

Unable to export in Snow Leopard (DVD/Book)
Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I'm unable to export a backup of DVDpedia, and also Bookpedia since I wondered if the problem was common to both. The message is (Export/Backup) Spinning barber pole trying Archiving... Action Required The Program failed to create an archive of your data folder, use ...

iMBd Ratings import (numerous <div> etc)
I'm so used to you all fixing a problem immediately that I didn't bother to report a problem that's happening with iMDb. Starting more than two weeks ago, I noticed a slowing down when adding a new title to the database. I figured my library was getting a bit large and let it go at that. But several...

Re: DVDpedia "corrupt" ?
I didn't notice until today the main Library has lost more than 800 titles going from 5000 to 4200. The collections that were excluded/included have remained the same, so until I can restore from an earlier backup (and then delete the +4000 duplicates) I won't know which titles have disappeared. Wha...

Re: DVDpedia "corrupt" ?
Apologies for the delay in reporting back. I deleted/installed per instructions (after a full restart) and everything seemed to be working without any weirdness until I went to quit the application. I'm not able to get a clean quit -- the OS gives me one of those messages about a sudden quit and do ...

DVDpedia "corrupt" ?
DVDpedia 4.2.1 (just now seeing there's a 4.2.2 but want to fix this problem before updating) on a G5/1.8mHz/3GB running 10.4.11 -- This morning while adding multiple titles via Edit/Add Multiple DVDs, the app gave me a "corrupted database" type message and asked if it could rebuild the da...

Under the Advanced menu you'll find both an option to see the past borrowers of an item (Borrowed History) and a 'Borrowed By' history to see what a person has borrowed from you in the past. Ahhh.... and duh! I've checked that menu before and was expecting a list of all previously borrowed DVDs. No...

Keeping track of past borrowers
When I lend a DVD out and it gets returned, all trace of the DVD having been lent out disappears from the database. Short of making a manual notation while editing, is there a way to track past borrowers?
