Bruji

Hi folks - Just noticed that our favourite dog, 'Bruji', is missing from "Favorites" on my iPhone & iPad after you close ALL tabs in 'Tab View' in Safari and it reverts to showing all your "Favorites". All it shows is an orange box with a capital white B. My other favorites all have their Emoticon's (well most of them). I know it won't appear in the "Bookmarks", no sites Emoticons do.

It is also missing from the "Show Favorites" on my iMac but it is present in the "Sidebar" on the iMac in Safari. And of course it won't appear in the "Favorites Bar", again no sites do.

Would Trashing the "WebpageIcons.db" and then refreshing your site (and all others) be the cure? or is there something missing in the webpage coding? (NOTE: I do have Safari sync'd via iCloud.)

Thank you for the heads up. We have not touched the favicon since 2003. So it's would seem likely it would need a little touch up. I have included higher resolution versions as well as serving it up via HTTPS.

But you are still likely not to see it. I was able to verify the fix only by using an iPad and iPhone I had not used earlier during testing. Seems there some sort of cache and the favicon gets looked for once and then not again for a while. Hopefully it will update for all in a few days when the cache is somehow invalidated. I'll keep a look out in the next few days to verify that, here as well.
