Any iSight improvemetns coming?

No iSight happiness on my MBP. Are there any plans to improve it? If not, any recommendations for an inexpensive bar code scanner.

We plan on making some tweaks but have been busy with Pocketpedia. A Cue Cat is inexpensive at only about 10 dollars and works well.
