We've been using Bookpedia to catalog the books in our small school library - about 7,000 books. Bookpedia is a delight to use, and we have published the results in HTML form on our school web site (http://sainthelena.us/school/library/Library/index.html).
But we'd like to make our web catalog searchable. Does anyone know of a template that would allow us to do this? Our goal is to have a searchable web catalog of the books in our library that our students can use. We also need to add a couple of custom fields in the html output. Is this possible?
Many thanks for your help.
Bookpedia: Exporting for School Website
Re: Bookpedia: Exporting for School Website
Take a look at this post for more information on making a searchable HTML export.
To add custom fields or change any of the existing fields in a template, select the template in the Export window and press the Edit button. That'll save a copy of the template in your Library/Application Support/Bookpedia/Templates folder and add 'My' to the name so you'll know it's a template you edited. Then you can open the template with any good text editor and change the fields or layout to fit your needs. Once you save the file you'll see it in the drop down menu of your Export window. For more information about editing templates, take a look at the Help file under Exporting > Customizing HTML templates.
