The two we have used are the cheap CueCat that you can get on eBay and works well enough and the more expensive Flic Bluetooth scanner. That allows you to walk around a room without worrying about cables as you scan, also if you go out of range to another room it will store the numbers in memory until it can connect with the computer again. The Pedia's multiple add feature has both visual and audio feedback so that you don't have to be at your computer as well as keeping track of any barcodes that were not found. There really is a large number of scanner options out there, so hopefully some users will chime in.
