Re: Copies from Wikipedia

Hi Conor, I've tried it directly but it doesn't work. When I want to use the actor's list in Wikipedia it's looking in that way: Colin Farrell: John Smith Q’orianka Kilcher: Pocahontas Christopher Plummer: Captain Christopher Newport Christian Bale: John Rolfe August Schellenberg: Powhatan Wes Studi...

Copies from Wikipedia

Hi,

I would like to ask a, maybe, stupid question:

Is it possible to copy the actors and their roll-names in one step directly into DVDpedia.
At the moment I'm writing all the names by hand if they are not available from someone else.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Hi Conor,

thank you very much for your quick answer.
Unfortunately there is nobody at my old home for the next few month.... Damn! ;)

However!
What's going on with a brand new pedia cloud version?

Sync between two iMacs - New questions

Hi Conor, a few months are gone and I need your helping hand again. You explained me last summer how to sync my CDpedia datas from my iMac to my MacBook pro. It worked well but there was one point I never understood. WHEN does the syncing takes place? My new problem is the following: I did the data ...

Re: Syncing between Mac and MacBook

Connor, I like to thank you very much for all these informations.
As you can see I'm only a bloody user and I have no idea what's going
on behind the curtain. That's the reason why I would like to keep it as simple
(for me) as possible.
Once again - thank you very very much.

Best regards

Re: Syncing between Mac and MacBook

Hi FineWine Thanks for the explanation. You are absolutely right. An explanation for the hidden commands would be really great. And one more question: If the commands are helpful for everyone - why are they hidden??????? Maybe you can help me with another problem: There was a collection of films whi...

Automatic Sync for CDpedia 2017

Hi Connor,

a really good idea for the next upcoming CDpedia could be an automatic syncing in both directions.
That would be a really good feature for everyone.

Maybe you can have a look at the solution of omnifocus.
That solution works really well.

What do you think?

Re: Syncing between Mac and MacBook

The problem is solved. It was a question of time!!!!!! It took nearly two hours to rebuild the database.dvdpd with about 1.000 dvd's. But than I was able to open the complete file on my laptop. Now I start to transfer my cd's with a file size of more than 2.000 records. I will let you know how much ...

Re: Syncing between Mac and MacBook

Alarm off!

I found the lost films.
They were in a different data base (seems to be my fault)

Puhh!

Now I start another try to put the films and CD's an my Laptop.

However. That's not the best way....
There must be an easier way in the future....

Re: Syncing between Mac and MacBook

Here's another short additional information: I tried the same thing with bookpedia and it worked well. The Database.bookpd is available (but it took its time to see it in the finder...) But I get the same problem with dvdpedia (as with cdpedia) too. Could the problem be the size of the file? There a...
