Re: CDPedia and Catalina

I am able to launch this beta but the links to the music library files is still broken. I added a few new CDs yesterday. Usually when I open the album for editing the the links automatically are generated but not with this beta. When I click on an existing music file link, nothing happens.

Re: CDPedia and Catalina

Hi Conor, I used the link you have provide to download the CDpedia Beta which I then copy over to my Applications folder. When I try to launch it, I get this message. "CDpedia Beta" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash. Buttons: "Move to Trash" and &quo...

Re: CDPedia and Catalina

I have updated to Catalina and when launching the Pedia apps you will get prompted for file access permission once. Today I found this article about programs that access iTunes. https://www.macrumors.com/2019/10/07/macos-catalina-djs-itunes-xml-file-support/ With the breakup of iTunes, I had a feeli...

Re: Odd Viewer Behaviour with All Pedia Betas

This is still an issue in the recently App Store update release of 6.0.1 and the workaround provided by FineWine still works.

I also found that if you close the link and then reopen it a second time, it displays correctly.

Re: MAS update versions 6.0 in OS X 10.11

I have a MBP that I bought in 2013 and I have seen some apps in the App Store that say "Will not run on this MacBook Pro" plus the buy/download button is greyed out. So there is no way to accidently purchase or downloading it. Conor: Is this something that needs to be triggered within the ...

Pedia Apps - Three Years Later

I jump into the Apple world in 2013 but it is not until January 2016 that I moved from my old database apps to the Pedia apps. I posted my comments in the Pedia Talk thread instead of here. The following Pedia Talk post link that has the history of how I got to start using these apps and my review o...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?

TypeIt4Me has been around about the same number of years as TextExpander. As with Secret, it took some getting use to it. I can say the same thing of the Pedia apps. 2013 was my jump into the Apple world. My old collection databases had mac versions of their apps but as I was quickly to discover, Wi...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?

Yes it is a single vault and no sharing. It would be interesting to see if that's a feature that's on their roadmap. Under Catalina we will be getting folder sharing in iCloud. Hopefully that is something that can be added to apps. I've been trying to move away from apps that want you to subscribe t...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?

I am still on 1Password version 6 as well I was on 1Password subscription base version 7 until I discovered Secrets from Outer Corner ( https://outercorner.com/ ). It is not as rich as 1Password for fields but it uses iCloud for storing its data plus you can import from 1Password. They aim at simpl...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?

Long gone are the days where you can hold on to hardware/software for 10 plus years although I'm still using my 15" MacBook Pro bought in 2013 (last year for that model with DVD drive). There will be Catalina features such as Sidecar that probably will not work on this MacBook. I'd like to upgr...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?

I am actually a bit surprised by the number of 32-bit apps out there that never made the transition.
I am surprised too considering how long it has been since Apple announced that this was coming and given how many times that they have delayed it.

Re: Bookpedia Search Replace function

Seems like Lego has been around forever. I played with those blocks as a kid and with my daughter when she was growing up. :D. That choice is a no brainer because those moments remain forever. As the saying goes; life is something that happens when we're busy making plans. Enjoy every moment because...

Odd Viewer Behaviour with All Pedia Betas

I don't know if this has to do with the current release of macOS 10.14.4 but when I click any URL link the website appears at the top of the viewer but the space where the media data was does not disappear and is replaced with a white background.

If needed I can email a screen shot of this.

Re: DVDpedia 5.9.2 beta 125 - Lost Amazon Connection

Thanks Conor,

I remember seeing this in another post but couldn't find it probably because I was looking for it

I have done this for all my media apps. I redid the search for Bohemian Rhapsody and it was able to pull the data from amazon.ca and the search was very quick.

Cheers.
